So I stopped at the Erie canal this evening to try a new lure I tied and it wasn't working that well so switched to a buck tail that I'm starting to produce and hopefully have it up on the website soon. When all of a sudden the line went tight and I set the hook and pulled in this huge black crappie the largest one I have ever caught. Here is a photo of it for you guys and girls to see.
it makes for a hard time to do any fishing really, the fish can't decide to stay deep or go shallow. so what do you do, get the poles cleaned up put new line on them, oil and grease them. then start weeding out the or tackle out of the box salvage the jig heads off some of your old ratty plastics and stocl up for trout season then walleye and then bass and if we are lucky it might be above 45 degrees by june. thanks again to all our customers at the craft show
there is no ice and the ice that was there wasn't there for long. so if you got to get out and do some ice fishing that is awesome. Otherwise I guess we are all waiting for April to roll in for trout season to open then we will be back in the water fishing hard waiting for walleye season to open. and then when bass season comes around you will be for sure in shorts and t shirts
So there is still no snow and no ice on the lakes, and it is not looking to promising for the ice to forming soon. will we get ice? don't know but if we don't this will be the first ice season for me that there was no ice to fish on. I think I might bear the cold in a week or so and go hit the shore with some spikes or minnows and try my luck during this unusual winter. and as always good luck fishing.
So they are predicting snow so before we know it the ICE will be here and that means ICE FISHING. Not to worry 1 last Cast Lures has been working deligently on Ice fishing lures and our small size jigs for this up coming Ice season. so if you want to get our Ice lures before they are even on our website come join
